Pretty exciting
Check out number four, from this weekend’s New York Times bestseller list:

Two cool things
Firstly, the Spanish edition of the Daring Book, titled El libro Adventurado para las Chicas, is due out in December! Love that title. And secondly, the folks who brought you the wonderful video promo for The Dangerous Book for Boys have put together a fantastic music video for the Daring Book for Girls featuring an awesome “Daring Girls Prevail!” theme song. You can watch it on YouTube or over at the Daring website — wherever you view it, I defy you to resist singing along! Hey hey hey hey hey hey hey!
Coming Oct. 30: The Daring Book For Girls
I’m thrilled to announce that the book Miriam and I collaborated on is mere weeks away from its release! You can pre-order the book at your favorite online bookstore, and for a sneak peek at the book’s content, you can check out our new website, daringbookforgirls.com, which has some excerpts and downloads. We have a lot of exciting things planned for the book — including our Oct. 31st appearance on the Today Show and a soon-to-be-released music video. More to come!
Writers Revealed
This Sunday, June 17, at 7 pm EST, I’ll be doing the internet radio show “Writers Revealed” on building book buzz online. Writers Revealed, the brainchild of Felicia Sullivan, is a new live weekly podcast. On the show, along with Kevin Smokler, David Wellington, and Josh Kilmer-Purcell, I’ll be talking about how authors can harness the power of the internet to help spread the word about their books. Visit the show’s website to check out the upcoming show schedule and even download previous shows.
June 12th Reading in NYC
On Tuesday, June 12, at 7 p.m., I’ll be at the NYC McNally Robinson Bookstore at 52 Prince Street to read from About What Was Lost: Twenty Writers on Miscarriage, Healing, and Hope. Editor Jessica Berger Gross will be there, too, along with contributors Sue O’Doherty, Caroline Leavitt, Miranda Field, Rochelle Jewel Shapiro, and Rachel Zucker.
